I watched this under very strained circumstances. It was really late at night and I had to keep stopping. Even when viewing in this condition the strength of this movie comes through. The objective angle makes the morally ambiguous yet highly emotional push and pull of the characters even more intense.
A Japanese crime movie that is actually much more than a simple genre film.
