Review of Vampire's Kiss (1989) by Katherine M — 09 Apr 2010
Nick Cage's performance is good, this and "Leaving Las Vegas" are two great examples of his range as an actor. This film from the same screen-writer as "After Hours", is another slightly surreal tale of New York 80's madness.
Some kind of demented Yuppie satire is at work here, but it's all buried under Cages blackly comic explosions. All and all it's not as good as everyone says it is, but it is a deserving of it's cult status.
