Vampire's Kiss is one of the strangest tellings of the vampire myth I've ever seen. Imagine a film centered around the demented, blood obsessed Renfield as played by a stratosphere-topping Nicolas Cage; throw in an uncomfortable 80s yuppie vibe and add a sadistic, abusive relationship with a sheepish secretary (Maria Conchita Alonso).
Yes, it's easily one of the most unlikable characters (and that's saying something for the king of unnecessary affectations!) Mr. Cage has ever sunk his teeth into and I'm guessing you'll never look at another film of his again without thinking of Vampire's Kiss.
..and that cockroach. Not VF.
