Review of Vampire's Kiss (1989) by Jon P — 22 Nov 2013
Best known for featuring Nicolas Cage's looniest performance to date, Robert Bierman's bloodsucking 80s psychodrama is a showcase for the endless possibilities of human facial expression. Sadly, Cage's craziness is a double-edged sword, dominating the screen and diminishing all potential dramatic effect, yet Bierman's blend of bitter comedy and biting horror still makes for a decent ride.
Cage is truly superhuman and for any fans, Vampire's Kiss is a must-see.
