Review of Valhalla Rising (2009) by Braden C — 10 May 2012
This film seems to try too hard to be deep and profound but in the end it's just a bland story with bland characters. The protagonist is not likeable at all and I couldn't care less for the other characters.
It focuses too much on unimportant aspects, and as for the important ones, it does not do a good job of presenting them. When you have a plot as simple as this one, one would assume presentation would not be a problem.
Overall, the experience was much longer than it should have been leaving it to be quite a shallow experience.
