Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Donald B — 17 Feb 2018
Bland and empty, Valerian fails due to a major plothole, poor writing, too much exposition and a lack of focus. The world created here is presented via computer effects and lacks any sort of personality.
Also, you don't buy DeHaan as the badass womanizer that he is portrayed as, but he does get the girl at the end despite being a total d-bag because of course he does.
