IIn short, the casting of the main characters and the dialog killed an otherwise visually spectacular and compelling movie. The lead characters looked like a pair of 17 year old Guess models that were play-acting at being adults.
Dehaan's voice actually sounded like he was intentionally lowering it so he could sound older. And the dialog between DeHaan and Delivingne was painful to listen to at times, seemingly extracted from some teen romance novel or a high school play.
