Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by L S — 22 Jul 2017
This is an incredible work of art, and definitely worth seeing. Valerian is based a few hundred years in the future, where humanity has united with other races to create one union in which they contribute equally to one another.
In this far reach of the universe, two agents of this society's government must inspect and solve a great problem, risking life and limb as they fight and manipulate their path towards the root of the problem.
As someone who has never read the original comics from which this story came, I can easily say that while this movie is incredibly unique and original. The amount of imagination, creativity and dedication that went into this film is absolutely spectacular, and will leave you with amazement and wonder at what might lie beyond the sky in the great dark beyond.
I highly recommend seeing this movie, as long as you can handle a little bit of violence here and there.
