Review of Vacancy (1999) by Michael D — 16 May 2009
This wasnt exactly a love it or hate it movie for me, but existed in some weird middle ground. The movie wasnt incredibly gripping but I did like it. Too predictable honestly with the gas station attendant causing the car to die leading them to the hotel, the screams from the office being snuff films, and Luke Wilson surviving.
Still, I enjoyed the element of Luke Wilsons character trying to learn from others mistakes. I however dont buy that all of the cameras didnt let the baddies know what he was trying to do. An above average use of an hour and halfs time.
