The movie was unintentionally funny far too often in the scenes where it was meant to be taken seriously, making the intended funny moments fall flat while ruining any tension. Red's delivery in her first monologue was comically bad. The pacing was never good. The "twist" was telegraphed ham-fistedly at the beginning of the movie.
I really, really wanted to like "Us". Instead, I was left with the possibility of how good it could have been. This was a missed opportunity.
