Folks criticizing US for the plot aren't getting it. The film is about the terrible divide between the privileged and those that are less privileged. The divide isn't racial or cultural but simply about money and privilege.
It's a satire trying to make its point in an unusual and entertaining way.. The divide is getting wider in most Western societies. I'm in the UK and were back to Victorin times with terrible child poverty.
We are the US.
