Review of Up the Yangtze (2007) by Rubén L — 12 Jul 2008
As a complete stranger to this situation, I feel foolish making comments about the film being objective or not. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the way the movie is told through the eyes of two families, both affected by the construction of the big dam.
But the part I enjoyed the most is that even though the dam was the focus of the story, we learn that the construction of the dam is not the single cause of their problems and worries. Every live is more complex that we can think of.
