Review of Up the River (1930) by Leslie S — 09 Dec 2009
A really good movie...which looks into the psyche of crooks...Edward Robinson plays a doctor who researches on crime and the insights into how crooks act durin the course of it...good performance by Bogart as well...the ease at which they carry out heists might surprise you...but considerin' the fact the movie was shot in the '30s...it's directed in a subtle manner...
Hats off to the director to think about such a story...a recreate it on the silver screen in an emphatic manner...this is a collector's delight for sure...!!!
