Review of Up in the Air (2009) by Lyle R — 03 Nov 2011
I realize I'm a couple of years late watching this one, especially since I'm a fan of Clooney's work, but I can certainly understand why this was among the best films of 2009. A funny, touching and sad film, with a terrific cast, and a story that, just when you think it's headed for a cliched ending, catches you off-guard by veering into a different direction.
Clooney and Kendrick worked well together, and he and Farmiga had terrific chemistry. Nice to see a smart adult film which steered clear of hackneyed formulas.
