I guess age is the only enemy JCVD could not defeat. This guy used to be my hero back when I was a kid and was also a hero to a whole generation in my country; by the age of 10, I succeded to watch all of the iconic action figure films (I know most of his movies are R rated but my parents did not really care since they did not include sex scenes).

Unfortunetly, the hero was fallen by the crapy movie choices he made Knockout and Deralied are clear examples (even I thought they were rubbish and I was about eleven or twleve) and age as I said. I forgot him by the years untill I heard the news of his coming back in a movie called JCVD and then the big news was his return to Universal Soldier franchise along with Dolph Lundgren (another once a hero in my memories) and I became very anixious to see it but did not expect much really.

I watched the film and it was as I anticipated a good ( but not great due to its low budget) old school action film which features a great fighting scene between Dolph and JCVD (a scene that made the movie for me) and a fearful "Frankstien" moment showing Dolph spaeking with a scary voice and getting angry with his "creator".

The main problem with the film was there was not enough Dolph (I heard that were not even a role for him and JCVD begged to write him one and then begged Dolph to accept the role) but wait a second there were not enough JCVD as well since the lead here was Andri Arlovski, a mixed martial artist and the movie villain ( who the fuck is this guy I have no memories with this asshole).

The action was good as I said and JCVD and Dolph in their screen time did what they are good at killing living things (we are not talking acting here). Anyway I guess action fans will not be dissapointed and it might be a someback to both Dolph and JCVD (but wait a second this asshole rejected a role in The Expendables, so long Van Damm I guess you will be forgetten once more).
