Review of Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2010) by Mikey S — 30 Aug 2010
Brutal fun and a pleasant surprise considering the extremely low expectations going in. Full disclosure, I saw it on the Spike Network but still enjoyed it. Lundgren has a great on-screen presence here (Yes, I used "great") and Van Damme knows how to play, if not underplay, the complexities of his characer well.
Though not gory, Universal Soldier: Regeneration has some of the most brutally physical up-close action sequences I've seen. The plot is enough to keep you interested. See it for to say goodbye to an era. Ok, just see it for fun.
