Review of Under Suspicion (2000) by The S — 06 Aug 2011
I really enjoyed this film, especially since it features Hackman and Freeman going mano-a-mano with a rich, layered and ever twisting script. This is a crime drama more along the lines of "12 Angry Men", with most of the action taking place in Freeman's office.
If you like your crime dramas with lots of action and formulaic endings, you'll probably not like this. But if you enjoy watching actors actually act, without the aid of explosions or CG animation, you will enjoy this.
Subject material might not be suitable for younger than 15, but the film is more suggestive than literal in is depiction.
