Review of Un Chien Andalou (1929) by Nikitos W — 22 Dec 2007
The first in history of cinema straight-out shooting of a dream balancing on the verge of a nightmare. The film-manifest of surrealism containing most awful the staff of a millenium.
Yet nobody known Bunuel and Dali 20 minutes screen time to complete surreal sight program. Two years later, they met again to create a similar, more bold and compelling, the truth less terrible film orgies called Golden Age / L'Age d'Or, which was already long in 1 hour and had a clear goal - a surrealistic attack on religious institutions and bourgeois rituals. Then Luis and Salvador have gloomy sworn and send away to become geniuses everyone in his hand.
