Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Samantha C — 01 Dec 2009

Two "creepy" Lovers is what it should be named. I say "run the other way and don't look back Gweneth!, but then all young boys fall in love with a hot piece of ash". I'm still waiting for the movie to catch up to me, terribly predictable but with its star studded cast what to do... but... but...wait for it... here it comes... the punch line... after this long you expect something special, no?... ok, nothing left to do, but... . Train, Plane, Auto accident - however you wish to categorize it.

Ok, so the producers also really took a chance and bet the movies success on the music score (ruining some amazing pieces, which will forever be connected to this work of trash)... taking the viewer through a timescape from the 40's to the present; from a Bogart-Grant dining scene to a mini opera held for 1. Back to back. Oh, there's some wall banging goin on too... gotta love it when somebody just shouts, "I'm crazy too: and then surprise temperature check with his meat thermo... wow, what a... ok she's got nice breast. Watch it for those. lol!

Too true to life depicting one sorry loser chasing another. Who saves who in this daisy chain of despair? Who cares?

Maybe the entire cast needs to "see themselves out". Oh, and the nightclub scene, come on now, did Joaquin really think some chick he just met, who dropped 2 hits of X was really going to go into a nightclub and come right out. And that nightclub scene is something out of an 80's high school Prom. If I know you like I think I do, then you will ENJOY!
