Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by Sv G — 14 Jun 2009
This is a slow meandering burn through dirtwater U.S.A. by way of Warren Oates in a shiny pontiac spouting his jive on anybody he picks up on the dusty road to nowhere. Along the way he meets up with three aloof nomads who give him a rush.
Funny and uneasy at times at its unflinching look at an Americana which no longer exists.
