Review of Two Brothers (1926) by Rick M — 22 Mar 2006
I thought this was film was spectacular and an awesome follow up to JJA's previous remarkable gem The Bear which I am now trying as best I can to buy on DVD too.
I really appreciated the fact also that both Guy Pearce and Freddie Highmore were the two leads in the roles given to them in a movie which sets apart all their other work to date and yet to come.
The only real shame though about any of the issues JJA must have had in my view is that this film as his only other animal based story took almost twenty years to create after The Bear. Sure there have been very original stories he's directed since, but have any of them meant so much to the fans who love both of these great homage's to animals? I wonder?
