Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Richard B — 21 Jan 2011
I gave this film four stars, not just for the film (which was an average film that ties with a tv show), but for the entire Twin Peaks series as well. The show is so very ahead of its time and I am still surprised that it was popular back in the early 1990s.
It is extremely weird and very out there at times, but it definitely worth watching if you can deal with it. I thought this prequel, which needs to be watched after the series was a nice addition and explained and expanded on some of the great stories from the show.
It was disappointing not to see some of the shows other regulars and it makes sense as this takes place before the show, but it would have been nice. Also on a side note, it is sad that the show got cancelled and many of the cliffhangers didn't get explained.
Overall the show and movie are not for everyone and even though I didn't love it as much as some of my favorite shows, I did enjoy it and am glad I finally got around to seeing what all the fuss was about, it was worth it.
