You can only understand this movie with all its little quirks, if you have seen both seasons of Twin Peaks. Even then, there may be parts you don't understand...That's just Lynch for you. As for the movie itself, it's more an essential piece in order to wrap up the plot of the episodes, than it is an entertaining piece.
