Review of Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) by Sol H — 15 Mar 2009
Bah. Segment one is fucking AWFUL. Segment 2 is shit too. 3 is alright, 4 is actually quite good although none of them feel anything like The Twilight Zone, rather they feel like a fun, goofy 80s horror/comedy.
But yeah, what were John Landis and Spielberg thinking? Terrible stuff.
Nightmare at 20,000ft is by far the best bit, but even that isn't as good as the original episode of the TV show.
Segment 1:
Personal enjoyment: 2/10.
Actual quality as a film: 2/10.
Segment 2:
Personal enjoyment: 2/10.
Actual quality as a film: 3/10.
Segment 3:
Personal enjoyment: 5/10.

Segment 4:
Personal enjoyment: 7/10.
Actual quality as a film: 6/10.
Overall:
Personal enjoyment: 4/10.
