Review of Turtles Can Fly (2004) by Alan H — 08 Jun 2007
Haunting film. Not really for or against the choice for the U.S. to invade Iraq - since the American soldiers are shown merely passing by the village (many of whom are refugees) that the story takes place in.
Concerns more the desolation and poverty of people who live in such conditions. (Similarities to Secret Ballot, about Iran, though that film is lighter in tone.).
