Review of Turbo Kid (2015) by Berkeley P — 04 Feb 2016
This is the story of one kid's impossible (and needlessly gory) quest to get his Apple device to hold a charge. The Apple device is poorly made and fragile (it breaks around 8 times over the course of the movie) but cute and shiny and so he sticks with it even though the android is clearly superior.
Seriously though, it's a film festival movie and it shows. It could have easily been much shorter. They had way more fun doing the effects than any reasonable person would have watching them. And the story is extremely basic... but still deeper and better written than Mad Max.
