Review of Tsotsi (2005) by Jacky W — 31 Aug 2010
There are definitely good things about this movie, the acting and cinematography are top notch. It's not surprising that it's been compared with city of God in this aspect. Plotwise I'm not too sure about it.
The main theme is about redemption but it's over simple and somewhat unconvincing. The character shows his idioticity more than anything else with his decisions which I don't think is what the director's trying to show.
