Quentin Tarantino's way of writing a romantic comedy? maybe? certainly feels that way, at least as far as Slater and Arquette's overall relationship is concerned. beyond that, this movie is wild, crazy, intense, and a whole lotta fun.
the minor characters were easily the most entertaining--Oldman, Walken, Hopper, Pitt...even the vaguely-seen Val Kilmer Elvis. the fact that all these minors were played by solid talent makes them even more entertaining.
a movie that's darkly comic, gratuitously violent, and yes, even a bit sentimental.
