Review of True Lies (1994) by Charlie J — 18 Feb 2012
The benchmark of modern 'escapist,beleif-suspending,high action-low plot-zero logic' movies.
Arnold is always good for a scenery chewing good time.
It is an enjoyable movie simply for its ridiculousness.
The 'malfunctioning' Semi-automatic flipping down the stairs, shooting and only killing bad guys even though Ahnold is in its line of fire......pure nut-ball genius and entertaining.
Then there is the cougarish Jamie Lee Curtis 'portraying' a hooker and doing a slow sexy dance in that tight short dress....FMR.
Tom Arnold and Bill Paxton......nuff said.
And future femme fatale,Elisha Dushku.....meow!
Just pure enertainment value, and when did having fun need to make sense?
