Review of Troy (2004) by Brian C — 13 Oct 2012
Visually mind-blowing, but feels too artificial in its storytelling to keep me fully engaged. The acting is generally flat and unconvincing. I didn't see Achilles... I saw Brad Pitt playing him. And while Diane Kruger is undeniably beautiful, Helen of Troy needed to be played by someone who stands out more.
This is a great movie to look at, and the action sequences are top-notch, but overall it was hard to care.
