Review of Trouble Every Day (2001) by Ross G — 10 Feb 2009
Shocking, beautiful, surreal and extremely intense film about sexual hunger gone horribly wrong. The Sickness in this great film is kinda metaphor of AIDS and shows how to one man has to deal with the sickness inside him when he is filled with constantly growing hunger for shared passion of his wife.
In some strange way this is highly erotic film with deeply disturbing undertones. Claire Denis again proves that she is one of the greatest auteurs working today.
