Review of Triumph of the Will (1935) by Jenn H — 17 Jun 2007
This movie consists of some of the most powerful images in the history of cinema. When Hitler gives his August 2nd, 1934 speech Riefenstahl gives you the impression that you are staring at God himself.
It's easy to see how a film like this could act as a rallying cry. Say whatever you want about the politics and propaganda, but it's important to realize that this film represents the way that the Nazis percieved themselves.
In watching this movie you get a glimpse through the eyes of the Nazis and into their vision of the future.
