An awful film, artless and tedious to the extreme, but vital in terms of historical significance. Hyped as the predecessor of the modern documentary, which doesn't say good things about the modern documentary.
Arguably, required viewing for most film and WWII/Hitler buffs, but even then it will probably bore the viewer halfway dead. The film is trash but--if you're willing to sit through it--crucial trash.
