Review of Triple 9 (2016) by Randolph B — 01 Apr 2016
From the previews it looked like a cool bank robbing movie with a shoot-out, like Heat, but instead of building up the bank robbing scene the entire movie they make it the first scene. It was too action-packed and not enough narrative.
I had no idea what was going on the entire movie and thought 9-9-9 had something to do with taxes. This movie fails just like Da Vinci Code. It may have been a great book but didn't transfer well to video.
Furthermore, they kept switching clothes so it's even harder to keep track of the 10+ characters in the movie. Hardly anyone gets a main cameo. We are left to try and put together the out-of-sequence movie in our heads.
This leaves for an extremely frustrating experience.
