Review of Transporter 2 (2005) by Jeffrey T — 23 Jul 2009
Transporter was brilliant. Simple, not taking itself too seriously, fast and cool.
But clearly, somebody saw that film and decided that it wasn't cheesy enough, had too much actual action in it and didn't waste most of it's time plodding through a massively convoluted and stupid plot filled with obvious holes.
Because a heap of extra time has been used explaining this pointless generic action plot all the pace has been removed from the film and what was cool in the first movie has become cheesy and embarassing in the second.
While Frank was careful to avoid dangerous situations and only fought when he needed to in the first film, here he practically walks into trouble. Anyone thinking this is a good film needs to watch the original because this is a pale copy.
