Review of Transporter 2 (2005) by Steve B — 12 Mar 2012
All action Statham lines up a sequel to the brilliant 'Transporter'. This movie takes Frank to a new kind of transporting and job, babysitting - well actually chauffeuring a young lad for a rich family.
Funny enough though 'baddies' are trying to use the kids Father as a biological weapon so kidnap the kid as a decoy ransom and heated drama. Little did they know Frank was around. Plenty more fighting in this one but the odds and realism against Frank is a little Tongue in cheek, think up to date 'Fist of Fury' dojo scene as guys surround Bruce Lee.
Driving action is also involved but mainly the action is away from the seat. As a bonus the French detective from 'Transporter' surfaces again and aids Frank, but having him helping out from Police computers and entertaining the Police with cooking makes him more comical in this one as with 'Riggs' through the 'Lethal Weapon' movies and seems he was pulled in just for that outside computer help purpose.
Overall hard hitting action but the first slightly better in my opinion.
