Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Brandon R — 12 Oct 2011
While the depiction of heroin addicts seemed harsh and realistic, the film didn't seem to have a proper direction. The plot is somewhat hard to follow and characters don't stick as well as I had hoped.
The performances all around were decent but, made this movie entertaining is the visual effects used to display what the addicts were "seeing". Overall I'm a bit disapointed considering that it is a film from acclaimed director, Danny Boyle and I was expecting something that was driven by memorbale characters and plot but I can see as to why some may really enjoy this.
