Review of Train to Busan (2016) by Rami H — 05 Sep 2016
This movie was truly an amazing balancing act that was pulled off masterfully. I am an avid follower of the zombie horror sub-genre and will often go see anything that satisfies my obsession with this class of movie.
This often puts me in front of some awful productions. I am pleasantly surprised when I find even one that is passable as a recommendation to a friend, think the Dawn of the Dead remake or the first Resident Evil.
There is the odd gem every now and then that really stands out though, these include 28 Days Later, the original Night of the Living Dead, and Rec. Train to Busan, without a doubt, falls into this latter category.
These are films I would unabashedly talk about at a dinner table without holding back as to their gorier details. If you take some time to watch this move, you will laugh, cry, and scream and go back and forth between them so fast without even realizing it.
If you decide to watch it, message me, because I plan to watch it again.
