I don't understand why this movie was so hated... sure, the topic of a 13-year-old girl getting sexually molested is not meant to be "comfortable." But it managed to tell the story without making her out to be a victim, and with some hilarious moments (mainly by her clueless and incredulous parents).
It was well-written, well-acted, and well-told.
