Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Wezul S — 22 Sep 2013
Visually masterful, as Welles' movies always are. It did take a while to grab my attention but it was well worth it in the end. Welles himself plays a morally reprehensible policeman against Charleston Heston's heroic Mexican detective.
(Heston has the worst Mexican accent ever.) I see why this is a noir classic & damn anyone who doesn't recognize the genius of Orson.
