Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by David P — 03 Sep 2009
A noir classic spectacular in so many ways. Orson Welles is absolutely magnetic in his role as a crooked cop, the story is brilliantly shot and the tense dialogue is thoroughly captivating. The only detractors are a slow middle that tends to get repetitively talky, and of course the precarious casting of Charlton Heston as a Mexican cop.
