Review of Torn Curtain (1966) by Ray C — 25 Dec 2007
When this film first appeared it had many detractors and few champions, but I've always loved it. Possibly the most stylized of all Hitch's films, but if you suspend disbelief it's a gripping romp - the coach chase section being an exemplary lesson in how to create tension, wind it up further and sustain it for minutes on end.
But the whole film for me is so watchable. Great stuff.
