Review of Topsy-Turvy (1999) by Jean-Francois V — 12 Jun 2008
This nice biopic, which won oscars for best makeup and best costume design, among other numerous awards, is a whimsical depiction of the idiosyncratic world of Gilbert and Sullivan. The ever excellent Jim Broadbent is W.
S. Gilbert, and another favorite actor of mine, Kevin McKidd, has a small role as one of the actors in the group, Durward Lely.
