Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by James T — 20 Aug 2018
The latest Tomb Raider adaptation is a decent adventure movie with a thoroughly well cast Vikander at its core.
It fairly closely follows the plot of the first of the reboot series with some expansion of it in the first 25 or so minutes to explain more thoroughly why Lara's not rich and to flesh out her character a bit before the adventure begins.
Once the film moves away from England it truly finds its legs and showers the viewer with some great set pieces, cinematography and a great score by the man who should have scored Justice League; Tom Holkenborg.
I recommend that any fan of the adventure genre give this a go and here's hoping that they adapt my game of 2015: Rise of the Tomb Raider next.
