Review of Tokyo Gore Police (2008) by Tia~ M — 07 Oct 2009

This movie more than meets the subject of this thread (Extreme Asian Horror/Gore) and was a highly anticipated movie for me, as we have been reading about it ever since "Machine Girl". I thought MG was better, it didn't have the secondary story, and making some kind of a statement about society which I could have done without.

Nevertheless, it certainly delivers the gore in gallons and gallons, and some truly exceptional makeup special effects. As for the story, this seems to be a moral we have seen from Japan before and will probably see again.

I get everything the movie was attempting to convey, but for me, it was the outstanding effects that make the movie a winner for me.
