Review of To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) by Derek D — 23 Aug 2012
And he had only 2 days until retirement! This movies is deliciously, stereotypically 80's. From the red cursive and neon green block lettered opening credits to Wang Chung playing the score. Watched it for the car chase scene.
Lemme tell you something amigo, this movie is great. Some movies are just so satisfyingly 80's, Cobra, Commando, Ghostbusters, Weekend at Bernie's, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser. To Live and Die in LA is not only one of the best examples of 80's cop flicks, but it stars Dafoe, Grissom from CSI and the cigar guy from Quantum Leap! Plus Turturro and a legendary car chase scene.
