I don't think anyone else could have made this scheming bitch sympathetic except Nicole Kidman. I think this was the last decent movie she made before becoming yet another Hollywood skeleton. A timely and well-written dissection of fame and celebrity culture in the US.
Solid character acting from the whole cast.
