Review of Titus (1999) by Molly S — 11 Jun 2007
Julie Taymor. Hello. Also, let me just recite the cast - Anthony Hopkins, Alan Cumming, Harry J. Lennix, Laura Fraser, Jessica Lange (she eventually works it out), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (sure, he's an annoying brat, but this character happens to be an annoying brat.
..), Yeah. So amazing. Are there some weird little moments of poor production quality? Of course. It's a Shakespeare adaptation that a studio went out on a limb for...but it's FAMAZING. Stunning and uncomfortable and achronistic (or is it polychronistic?) and glorious.
