Review of Titus (1999) by Wes H — 06 Dec 2007
Is it ok to really love a movie and think it is ridiculous and prententious at the same time? That is pretty much the entirety of my thoughts on "Titus" which is closest to verbatim towards the actual Shakespeare lines of the play.
But it is also way way way over the top sometimes and controlled by the woman to came up with "The Lion King" the play, so you can imagine a bit on the overly theatrical side of life. Still, Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Lange, Alan Cumming, and Jonathon Rhys-Meyers do very credible jobs here.
