Review of Titus (1999) by Ben N — 26 Jul 2011
The most brutal and disturbing play from Will Shakespeare comes to vibrant life in this mesmorizing albeit strange adaption. The performances are incredible all around, the story is breathtaking and haunting, and the style is certainly captivating though occasionally too surreal for the source material in my opinion.
All the same, this is an incredible film of one of the greatest (if not the original) revenge strories ever told.
